Mount Royal Toy Dog Fanciers
In general, toys, being small, are easily adaptable to apartment or country living but do enjoy and need suitable exposure to sunshine and fresh air. Outdoor exposure is limited by weather conditions. They should be exercised on a leash or in a suitably enclosed area. it is imperative that nails be kept trimmed, teeth are cleaned and ears are checked regularly. Hair underneath the feet between the pads should also be trimmed. All dogs should be vaccinated against canine diseases and booster shots are required annually. Size is measured from the ground to the withers (top of the shoulders, below the neck).
